To avoid confusion with the University of Louisiana which is located in Monroe...and to avoid advancing or perpetuating the myth that there's a flagship.

But I digress....

The Law says you must include a Clarifier...and - speaking of NON-counterfactual and NON-imaginary thinking - the law says you MAY NOT use "The University of Louisiana" without the clarifier.

I think that's both instructive and dispositive.

The difference between the two fan bases is pretty simple.

McNeese fans are amused by U-S-L fans, we're not envious of them. That's the main difference.

Well, that and the fact that McNeese fans don't suffer from the same delusions of relevance that U-S-L fans suffer from.

It is not possible for McNeese fans to be delusional. In order for them to be delusional, McNeese would actually have to have a vision and desire to be better and advance their status. But McNeese and its fans have apparently no desire to move out of the SLC and away from Incarnate Word, Houton Baptist, etc.

I am happy to be included with the delusional crowd.

Well, there you have it. They were all well-educated and trained by very fine law schools.

If they found no basis for appeal, then I'd say there probably wasn't one.
