I have said this in the past and will say it again. I am not a lawyer, but I have viewed "Matlock" many times, so I have some knowledge here.......The name change was passed by a large vote, I think 19-1 and implemented several months before lsu got their panties in a bunch. The bias Baton Rouge court system gathered in the back rooms and call to order.......Let us fix this miss justice......Ok Turb, is this how it went down? Why not submit ULA to the SBC to be used for statistical purposes? Would it be legal? It's better than UL-L. It's not UL which is illegal.

His thought process should have been very simple. We are branding ourselves athletically as Louisiana. It is legal and we have been using it with success. We can't use UL, so we need to use a 2-4 letter reference that represents Louisiana and is legal. LA. A no brainier. So he tells Benson "Our name is Louisiana, our 2 letter reference is LA, and our moniker is Ragin Cajuns". That's it. Why this other bull_____ is beyond me.
