    1) BJC6267 is right. The ESPN broadcasters were VERY complimentary towards our team and the atmosphere our fans have created over the past three years in New Orleans.

    2) Yes, we should be emailing about using the Lafayette College logo. I never heard Oh LaLa, but that as well would be something to bring to their attention. However, getting upset over the use of Louisiana-Lafayette, well...I hate to break it to some...but that is here to stay as far as ESPN is concerned. Maybe if we put together a BCS-busting type season or become one of the Top 3 mid-major programs in the country things might change, but it would have to be something on the field that grabs their full and admiring attention.

And I still say our SID or Communications Director, whatever his title, going around with "ESPN-Bristol" was petty.

Areas of the country that obviously (to them) are more important and every body else is just in fly over country.
Do not go there. Mike Patrick was very respectful the whole game, and he got it right Southwestern Louisiana now SW, not SouthWEST. IMO this was simply showing his long time knowledge of the program and a slip up, probably one he worked on to not make. He excused himself immediately, in fact it was an oh sh!*moment the second it slipped out.

He is going to call us what his boss tell him to do period. There is not doubt in my mind that one of the bullets on UL is the name issue which is why I cannot buy the Lafayette Leopards ever being an error, and surely not more than once should it ever be an error.

Sooo.... I looked on ESPN3.com to see what games were on tonight. I see in the side bar that the Boise St vs Oregon St game is in Spanish. BUT... the graphics for the game is a Boise St player next to a picture of our Elijah McGuire. Who is running the mothership during the holidays?

Even God is telling them they are getting it wrong. It is Louisiana not all those crazy names. He just felt this might get their attention by sending a Prophet.

I think I have a pretty good idea of how this mistake happened. ESPN contracts a third party company called Sportvision to superimpose the first down lines and other graphics onto the field. So there's a non-ESPN employee sitting in the dome somewhere who is ultimately controlling this. He is the one who probably goofed and put the wrong logo on the field.

Of course I'm not saying ESPN isn't to blame. It's ultimately their fault. They should have quality controls in place that prevent this from happening and someone should have noticed it during the game and corrected it. That just seems like the most logical explanation for why only that logo was wrong.

Then explain why Lafayette's logo is used for our games on a fairly consistent basis...
