But it has worked. We've made progress because we have contacted people. You think Phil Steele just changed the way he references UL out of the blue? Same with other outlets. ESPN just seems to be a stubborn holdout.

I think you are in the very few. How can it be harmful when they are already doing what you don't want them to do? This does not make sense. Be quiet, and they will not mess with you. Bull-______

I wasn't saying advocating never contacting anyone , because I know it has worked for smaller blogs and publications. It's also worked with CBS and Fox, and hasn't with ESPN. I guess I'm just of the impression that they won't get on board until we make some consistent big time noise in football/baseball/basketball.

If you read the page, it talks about getting the email to the right person. Like most of you, I stopped believing in Santa Clause a long time ago....One or Two emails of this nature just get tossed or are one or two going to a department head somewhere in the many layers of ESPN. BUT, If 10, 12, 100 get sent with basically all the same complaint, maybe something happens. If the conference and admin. had a clue none of this would be necessary.
Weeks ago I posted a link to the University of Californian @ Berkley that contained a report that average fans could fill, recognizing any unjustifiable use of the university logo, name, brand, various schools, etc that a fan could then send back to a university compliance person so they could research and address appropriately. I sent that same link to our Communication and Marketing office, and have yet to get a response.
