Dave Dixon was a New Orleans businessman who was the key guy in having the Superdome built and the Saints franchise awarded to the city of New Orleans. The Dome has bought final fours, Super Bowls, and a variety of other significant events to New Orleans. Economic impact to the city and state from those is incalculable. Without the Dome, those events would not have come to our state. Also, the success of the Saints does limit Tulane's support which in a way is good for us. Unfortunately it is not possible for the Cajuns and Wave to both be successful as there are not enough mid major players in Louisiana for that to occur. I guarantee you if the Saints were not here Tulane would be more successful which would have a negative impact on us as they are the major recruiting competition in south Louisiana. Nothing personal against Tulane, that is just the way things age. I say this as someone who lived 20 years in the New Orleans area.

I already use the Chevron Gasoline in my cars because:

a) They are one of the few majors still maintaining a presence in Lafayette.

b) Techron keeps the fuel sensors clean on the Vette (also helps fuel lines, filters, injectors etc clean)

Now I have another reason...
