I would tend to agree with you. And the sudden change of attitude across the south LA nation saying the State Police have an agenda is wrong. First of all, all the eyewitnesses at the scene said it was the green charger that caused this crash. These people had no idea who was driving the charger, only that it was a green charger. The lady probably did freak out when she swerved into the oncoming traffic to avoid the green charger coming at her at a high rate of speed.

His lawyer is causing an issue that could have the potential of a Rodney King uproar.

Don’t think that will happen. I thought this was a “Rodney King” moment in Louisiana. Proud of our fellow residents for getting justice without the violence, which achieves nothing. Proven the man was beaten to death. Feel free to research how far up the food chain the coverup went. Pretty disgusting.

Ronald Greene was a 49-year-old Black man killed by Louisiana State Police during an arrest outside of Monroe, Louisiana, in 2019, following a high-speed chase. After initially being told he died in a car crash, subsequent investigation and body camera footage revealed troopers used a stun gun, pepper spray, and a chokehold, punching him and placing him in a prolonged prone restraint. A reexamined autopsy, ordered by the FBI, listed "prone restraint" and other factors as contributing to Greene's death, which was ultimately ruled a homicide. Several troopers were criminally charged, though some of those charges were later dropped, and a civil lawsuit filed by the family is pending.

I'm not saying Kyren didn't attempt to pass too many people at once. I'm not saying he hadn't just done something careless, half a minute before. I'm saying he DID NOT CAUSE that accident & that man's death. he SHOULD NOT have been charged with criminal liability & criminal intent. The woman eating funyuns & more than likely playing on her cell phone hit a driver coming the other way head on because she simply wasn't paying attention to the road. These are the facts. Everyone has a right to their opinion. However, in no way, does that justify everyone's opinion. Especially if it's based on the same old hateful reasoning that because someone is black, they have to be guilty as hell, whether they were involved, or not.
That's not what was said by the witnesses

Think about it… if you aren’t even first in line to have a head on collision with the green charger when why would you “swerve to avoid it”. A simple case of tailgating with a lack of accountability.
How would the oncoming truck know if she was "paying attention" or not?

There is no shoulder per the video. There is grass which is filled with utilities such as telephone poles. It does not appear that it was as easy as just going onto a shoulder as there was none

Just a sad situation all around.
I have seen all that has been posted here and stand by the fact that Lacy had nothing to do with the accident - police persuaded people to lie in order to get the guy in the green charger who turned out to be Lacy - Lacy is probably dead because he was falsely accused and set up - and people here should be ashamed and should apologize to the family of Lacy for jumping to erroneous conclusions because he left Louisiana to be a Tiger . . .

    people here?

    How about people everywhere.

You don't think the headline of the article in post #1 from WAFB had something to do with people forming opinions based on the then presented narrative?

"LSU standout Kyren Lacy arrested on charges of negligent homicide, felony hit-and-run"

Its probably best to let this investigation play out before making or believing absolutist statements. The public does have a right to know. However one fact everyone should keep in mind is a 78 year old veteran died through no fault of his own, he deserves justice.
