Think of it this way: the Sun Belt is Bob Marlin — safe, convenient, etc.
The Pac-10? That’s Coach Q — new, better competition, national exposure, and energy. If UL got that invite, the excitement would be off the charts. The Cajun community would show up, the money would flow in, and you'd see support like never before.

    They love SBC Division Championships.

Winning the SBC West should not ever be considered a Championship.

Here we go! Texas State has informed the SBC of their intention of leaving and will accept invite from the Pac-12.

Speculative at best. Show me the spreadsheet with ACTUAL numbers.

Once again speculative on both counts.

The PAC-12?? Good chance it could be the PAC-6 within a few years.

Would it? Where exactly would these teams jump to?

No one's worried about long term security in college football. It's now a game of musical chairs every two years. UL should make sure they have a seat at the big boy table when the music stops.

    HA!

We're the weird 50 year old Uncle that still sits at the kiddie table for Thanksgiving, and LOVES it.

I don't understand this line of thinking.

Every school that has ever moved up (conference wise) has to varying degress experienced increased attendance, fan interest, and cash flow.

SBC schools from the early 2010s -> CUSA may have a word with you.
