If La Tech was to come back to the SBC, there should be condition. They are to refer to all SBC schools by their athletic preferred branding names.

Seeing how CUSA is a dump, they will do and say anything to get out of it including respecting our brand, but we know that wont happen.

Based on the tiers suggested in another thread, you have to put an * next to any of those who may moved through. But ultimately down to tier 3

    Cola cajun:
There will be three tiers amongst the G6 Conferences:
    - Tier I: Pac-12 & AAC
    - Tier II: MWC & SBC
    - Tier III: MAC & C-USA

Moving up to R1 did nothing for Athletics. At least not yet. It is probably linked to our lack of pursuit in Athletics, as I described. Even though I'm proud of UL achieving the milestone of R1, what exactly has it done for UL? Are we getting better students? Are we growing in admissions? Are we getting more political capital in Baton Rouge? I don't see UL mentioned any more than before on a national scale. Growing Athletics can do all these things.

Is open admissions better for athletics as well?

Then the SBC is basically SLC + SoCon. Weird difference being eastern schools are happy about reuniting with old friends, while we are not.
