This is where stat gazing doesn't give you the entire picture. He was second on the team in tackles as a RS Fresman playing his 1st year as a starter in the FBS. He's 6'4, 240 and can run from sideline to sideline playing LB off the ball. How many on the roster do we have with his size and speed? Let me help you, none at the off the ball LB position. That is why he was offered money and none of the others were not. It's about projection and he has 3 more years of eligibility. We don't get these types of LB prospects out of high school.

I would take 3 more seasons of that speed and athleticism in comparison to what we have on the roster today. This is an area that will need lots of help next season with Ossai and Glass gone.

What a waste of money. The Kid is decent but a lot of his success was because they ran the ball so successfully. Can’t blame the kid for taking the money but this is getting out of hand so fast.
