Don't worry: They will meet their maker one day!
And oddly enough, it’s been trial lawyers forking over the NIL money to influence some of our best players the past few years to head either East to BR or West to Houston.

    Absolutly two different things.

However the revenue is based on the standing operating infrastructure built by the universities. Not the athletes.

If it were the athletes, you would see floating payouts based on who lost players to the portal, how many 5 stars were signed, who led the nation in this that and the other.

They are paying for the programs standing operations, it is not based on who or whom they are fielding. The closest that comes to reality is perhaps it is based on the "perception" of who they are fielding.

You are right about the "two different things" though.

If NIL is truly NIL [Hint: It isn't] the NIL deal would follow the player to his new destination. Also, if NIL were truly NIL, the NIL deal would not have a requirement to enroll at any specific institution, though it might have requirements to enroll in a certain level of institution or a sliding scale of payment dependent on the level of the institution chosen by the player, or on the TV revenue of the conference in which said institution resides.

You can pay any player you want anywhere, hell you could walk up to any kid you want and hand them money. I’m talking about the courts ruling on restricting them from being able to make money, like having to sit out or only transfer once. Once the court ruled that Was it, there wasn’t any way to reel it in. People can stomp their feet and complain about it all they want but it is what it is. Also, as usual it’s the adults that are doing all this, not the kids. It’s the slime all “agents” and big money donors on one side and the parents and “advisers” of the kids on the other side.

Take away the athletes and TV revenue goes bye bye. Nobody buys tickets and sports packages to watch people math. I absolutely have no problem with revenue sharing, maybe if that happens sooner we wouldn’t be in the mess we are in now but the adults were just too greedy. Athletics departments taking in 100’s of millions of dollars and coaches getting paid millions off the backs of the athletes, why shouldn't they get a cut?

    Coaches are overpaid.

Transient participants are not the backbone.

Drop any cog in the wheel of any business and they all crumble.

Too much importance placed on "existing" when there are ten-fold ready to take their place.

trying running a business without paying the labor and see how long you stay open, the ncaa and univesities got away with it for quite a long time.

Lets not act like these players received nothing in return over the years.

Never said that but it was pretty lopsided, hence the revenue sharing. They are the product that brings in the money. Im not saying I like it but I can easily see how we ended up here. Sec schools get over 50 million a year just in tv contracts, how can you not think the players deserve some of that?
