How is a full ride scholarship not compensation? How is it not pay for play? How is it already not name, image likeness. Isn't that why the university is paying for their scholarship?

That’s always been a charade. The ncaa has always had the illusion of amateurism but that’s all it’s ever been is smoke and mirrors. Difference now is that the players have all the power…the adults in the room never stepped up.

I highly recommend the book The Hundred Yard Lie. Written in 1989 and they were talking about the same problems we are today.

Not at all, the players deserve to be paid is the argument, title 9 issues dont negate that argument, they simply complicate how to solve it. Not sure of an instance when you have a solution before you have a problem to solve.

Exactly, the adults never did the right thing or got out in front of it, so the players eventually got it done first and here we are. The adults dont like it because now the rabbit got the gun.

The NCAA became a commercial entity and once that happened it was always going to lead to where we are. Want to end the charade get rid of everything commercial about the sport. However that will never happen so we are where we are.
