I'd say it's good, not great. I don't think it is up to anyone's standards. I think the goal every year is to win 40. Realistically, we will not win 40 games every year. It doesn't matter who the coach is.

No one is okay with mediocrity. The difference in opinion on our forum seems to be to me that there are those that believe Robe is our best realistic option to meet our goals and those that do not believe Robe is the best realistic option.

I'm sure Duckman, you, and some others may feel I am a moron, but I still believe in Robe. This season is definitely testing my belief being that in my opinion it is worse than mediocre, but I still believe Robe is our best realistic option.

    35-21 is good ...

Except its not good enough for a perennially "good" team

That ring wasn’t a SBC teams. Now if they win one this year you can drag out that text again. Weren’t they in their exiting year of the Big South? Regardless some other league.

You'll have to show me where I said it was.

The SEC touted any, and every, credential available when inviting Missouri, Arkansas and Texas A&M to be members. They went as far as saying their membership would improve competition.

Why would anyone claim the Sun Belt wasn't more competitive with the reigning national champion joining the conference?

35/21 is a season no program should be satisfied with unless their schedule justifies an at large bid. Teams in the G5 will always need to get to 40 plus wins to have a chance for an at large.

If the university you support goals are to have a nice program that only hopes to occasionally win a conference tournament for a 4 seed that’s sad.

Thanks, my posts have not touched the subject of tournaments. Only season records.

I’m very happy to bring in a national champion. I’m not into false advertisement. Let’s get another championship.

Well again that’s not a very good season record. Regardless of your historical spot that’s not good. If you were terrible and turned it back to a .600 it’s a good start.

Who wants to go back and look at the WP of the 33 at-large teams in the 2018 tournament? If I remember correctly, Troy was one of the last four in (maybe last team in) and their WP at selection time was .672. So yea, .600 ball isn’t good enough.

Nobody said it was good enough. There is a difference between good enough and a fireable offense. Yes, 600 year in and year put is not enough. We are now approaching that number too many years in a row.
