Fire Bab, fire Talbot, Robe giving up on becoming Tony Robbins in cleats, Hire someone you can promise head coach in waiting to so they don't leave at the first sniff. If Robe can't or won't...blow it up and start anew. We have tradition, we have a large fan base, we have a sparkling new stadium, we have as fertile a recruiting ground as there is. There is a morning after...even if you guys can't handle it.

And there it is. Jeaux or Vic was on it earlier. I’m more of a tiger fan because I expect to not be one of the worst offensive teams in the country. It’s cool. You’re probably still thinking about the slide to beat Clemson. Those guys’ kids are talking to college recruiters as we speak. Meanwhile, Coastal is the model program in the sunbelt. They may fall off. I may be totally off base, but I doubt it. We have our chance. We can either accept status quo (few regionals every handful of years) or we can nut up and get back to Omaha.

I nor anyone else in this thread have said they find this years offense acceptable. This thread was about being a "life coach" and how you felt like that is a problem with our program this year. However you can't explain how the same coach has used the same philosophy for 23 years with a lot of success. I can assure you his philosophy hasn't changed. Certainly more people today know about it but it isn't something that started in the past couple of years.

You started this thread and asked for feedback but you can't defend your original hypothesis and have continually tried to come at it from another angle. Feel free to start a thread on our offensive wows if you wish and we would probably have a lot to agree on.

I'm not sure where you are even going with the college recruiting comment. You might want to ask the Ramos, Cantrelle, or Harris kids why they would bother coming to a school where their parents played??

Everyone wants to get to Omaha. It is a rather difficult task. Since the modern field of 64 with SR format was introduced in 1999 only 48 teams have every made it to Omaha. Only four teams outside of the SEC, B12, PAC, or ACC have made it there more than once. Let that fact sink in for a few minutes.... 19 years..... 4 teams. Nobody would like to make that five teams more than our current coaching staff.

The LSU comment was tongue in cheek. I started to use Texas as a better example but LSU baseball is one of the most historically successful programs in the country (so are the Cajuns by the way) and they have disappointed on numerous occasions (just ask their fans). Point being that every program has its ups and downs. You simple can't be at the very top of the game every single year. No one is accomplishing that feat in this day and age.

Its been fun but its time for everyone to move on from this.......we are starting to talk in circles at this stage.

You've glossed over the issues, and moved the onus off of the "life coach" to muddy the waters. We've had success since Bab became the second head coach, but we've also seen drastic changes in the offense (only remedied by a coach who knew how to keep Bab away from his hitters), fielding, base running, and all around logic on the field/at the plate. We've been able to rely a lot on our talent, like the bigger schools do from time to time. One of the benefits of having a traditional power program. We've squandered some of the best talent by allowing a literal baseball deity do whatever he pleases, however he pleases...and it's turning this program into a ____ show quicker than you can say "drink from the garden hose."

Downward trend in every phase of the game, excluding pitching (cause that's his passion) and hitting during Deggs (because he told Bab to stay the ____ away from his hitters like a boss). We recruit sluggers, and turn them into Adam Everett's (Cajunstro will get this). We run ourselves out of so many innings. The only aspect of the team that looks 100% prepared to play on day one is the pitching staff. That's because, Bab is in control of everything that isn't pitching, and post and pre game life quotes.
