It's all good. I've bumped this thread about 10 times since it has started. I'm appreciative of everything Hudspeth has done for this program prior to the sanctions. But he is at a point of deminishing returns/damaging the program now.

We need to rebuild what little credibility we have in state. According to Rivals, Scout and 247sports we don't have a commit from any of the top 100 rated players in Louisiana. That's a darn shame. I'm not a guy who wants an all Acadiana team, but we should be able to sign 5 or so of the top 50 prospects out of our own backyard.

Hudspeth is a motivator and recruiter. Right now he appears to be failing on both fronts. He will not win with lesser talent because he isn't an X & O guru who can outscheme other coaches.

Hudspeth has served his purpose here in Lafayette. He is almost solely responsible for the APC, took us to and won 4 straight bowl games, but that doesn't grant immunity. Sanctions, attrition and losing records erase all of that atta boy cried he built.

Since the end of the 2014 season....

8-17 against FBS competition

Last non-conference FBS win was Nevada in NOLA to end the 2014 season.

But, none of that matters to Stevie P and Kevin Foote. As long as we compete in the SBC and get considered for 1 of the 1,123 bowl games, it's all good.

This is where your program ends up when all you care about is getting Bowl eligible, and this is why people like Stevie P and Kevin Foote do such a disservice to this program.

Not my boy. Just looking objectively. We won the game we were favored to win and lost the games we were expected to lose. This week we are favored to win. If we don't, the drumbeat to get a new coach will be even louder. And deservedly so.
My opinion of the season hasn't changed. We should win 6 or 7 games and go to a bowl with the offense we have. I have no inside info, but I doubt that gets "my boy" fired.

Hudspeth doesn't have a great (by our standards) defense to bail him out. ULM is a hot mess. So are we. If Davis isn't 90% or better his mechanics will break down and his throws will be all over the place. This is their super bowl and a perfect trap game for us.

We lose this game and we may not win another until Ga So.

He took over a program with Zero talent last year. He has to start from somewhere. I'm also not a Viator fanboy. But he at least can coach. Our meathead can just lift weights and smile pretty.
