Do most season ticket holders dislike the program? One who barely misses games? Just because I don't agree with the direction of coach Marlin doesn't mean I dislike the program...Marlin will be long gone while the program is still here. Marlin has settled in comfortably to the "that's not how we do it here crowd" he has the cronies convinced that an NCAA trip every 6 years is acceptable...he is a smooth talker, I'll give him that. He isn't a great coach and a Mediocre to bad recruiter.

Unless you truly think depth perception has nothing to do with shooting prowess, you cannot make that blanket assumption.

Again, nobody said taking in transfers was necessarily negative for the program. The problem is the constant state of flux within a program if this is how you are built and that is where you run into people who don't believe in Marlin at this point. His inability to adequately recruit core players whom you can build around.

    Just the opposite.

Recruiting the "Core" hasn't been the problem. (Elfrid Core and Shawn Core)

The "build around" has been lacking.

Turbine, you still on this? Our shooting percentages away and home don't drastically differ from one another. If there is such a discrepancy in where we practice and play, why is this so? And why does it not seem to affect our opponents?

You ever heard of teams having a shoot around? Do you see before the game what they are out there doing? You don't have to learn to shoot again, the 3 point line is the same distance, the foul line is the same distance. Poor shooters have bad depth perception no matter where they are, that's why they are bad shooters.

He had them together and managed 1 NCAA trip. Now what? We have nobody close to those 2.

8 years and you can point to two players as good solid "core" guys? Not to mention Shawn was a transfer. He wasn't even a commit.

    It has and does.

There is an overall cookie cutter approach with "practice in a box, perform in an arena" tool set.

For years, basketball shooting percentages have been flat (or decreasing) at all levels.

Can you think of any other sport where there has been no improvement for the last 50 years?

You are talking about an evolution of the game. You are talking about a reliance on the perimeter game which will show lower shooting percentages when compared to the old grind it out get the ball in the middle and then find an open 12 footer approach. We probably have better shooters today overall than we did back in years past but they are just taking lower percentage shots. I can't see how this translates to our practice venue. If it was just us, I could see your logic but this is across the board and a lot of other good teams don't seem to have this issue.
