Question for you or anyone with a legal background. Couldn't this project been leveraged with UL Foundation money since we are not separated? I understand the questions of $3 million in actual funds sitting in the project account, but there are millions in the UL Foundation Fund today.

So if the endowment (before Friday) was about $165 million--why not borrow from them and the deal is done!!! If I am correct, unless there is a charge from the Foundation to the Ath Dept for services, not a penny of athletic RCAF monies can be used outside the RCAF Fund and their approval!!! Also wonder if monies being collected by the Master Plan can be directed toward this???

It was always 2 phase... The lights were phase 1 and they considered redoing the dugouts but decided to do just the lights. This is good ole spin.... Trying to save face.

Ok, I thought I was losing it for a minute. Phase 1 was what you explained here, but it was never sold and packaged as a "2 phase" job.

So why aren't we freaking out about this? Clear cut sign that they phugged this up!!

First and foremost, sorry for saying "shut up" the other day. Just frustrated with the misinformation. (not an excuse, anyway, sorry). You didn't deserve that. My bad.

Out of Farmer's mouth was the 3 million dollar figure. That is not a rumor. C4L's post that started the bigger reaction about the $2 Mil donor was rumor, a rumor that has still not been laid to rest, despite the email that was posted. The folks responsible for the origins of that rumor have no denied the claim of money being withheld. Anyway, before that post happened, you saw credible employed personnel of subs for Lemoine giving us hard data, timelines and reasons for inaction. Hardly rumors. If people are still believing there's nothing going on, even though we haven't done a thing of substance to the Tigue over a 250k pledge, you guys aren't paying attention. Farmer flat out lied to a room full of people.. (This is not the first time he's done so btw).

Look at the timeline.
Look at the explanations.
Look at the inaction.
Look at Farmer's history.
Look at the money.
Look at the silence.

No where in the plan for Tigue renovation was their any clauses for taking out a loan to fund the project. If we were so prepared for this thing, why are we having to go to the board to approve money from the "auxiliary" account. Why are donors ____ed off? Where Farmer to comment?

If the new grandstand is not complete by the 2017 season, this will be a complete and utter failure and egg on face. Someone (Farmer, presumably responsible) should lose their job over this. I'm p i $ $ ed. This has been dangled over our heads since 2004 - but never this close to actually happening.

ONLY legitimate solution - new Tigue - new Grandstand completed before the 2017 season.
