Haack to start; both QBs to play

Brooks Haack is averaging the same number of yards per carry as....Terrance Broadway last year.

Playing Nixon will solve nothing.

The only answer to unlocking the hold the defenses have on us is to DEVELOP A PASSING GAME.

Following the model of last season. Haack is TB. Eli is Eli. The part some people want to blissfully ignore is Nixon is Harris.

That's all fine and dandy except Nixon has TB's numbers Haack doesn't. Look I good with playing Haack if he is our guy or Nixon if he's the guy but I think we will need both if we want to win out.

Haack can't run like Broadway. Don't fool yourself. He is a much better passer however.

All BS aside, next time Nixon is in the game, make a effort to watch how he runs the read option. Then we will talk again.

My point being that brooks being great at reading the d on zone read isn't real useful given his skill set. He might be able to pull off a run here or there but won't likely be a viable threat in a zone read offense, not his game. Same with Nixon in the passing game.

Would you apply the same principles to Driskell? He doesn't have the "skill set" which I guess is code for, is actually a running back.

With Haack's skill set, the read option can successfully be used to keep the defense honest and every once in a while, a big play will break open. How about that 15 yard TD run against Monroe where he went in untouched?

Its not Haack's game but until our coaching staff decides to call plays to his strength, he will have to run the offense he is given.

The QB doesn't have to go for 75 yards every time he keeps it for it to be effective. Fastest guy on the field is worthless if he makes the wrong read half the time.
