My point being that brooks being great at reading the d on zone read isn't real useful given his skill set. He might be able to pull off a run here or there but won't likely be a viable threat in a zone read offense, not his game. Same with Nixon in the passing game.

With Haack's skill set, the read option can successfully be used to keep the defense honest and every once in a while, a big play will break open. How about that 15 yard TD run against Monroe where he went in untouched?
Its not Haack's game but until our coaching staff decides to call plays to his strength, he will have to run the offense he is given.
The QB doesn't have to go for 75 yards every time he keeps it for it to be effective. Fastest guy on the field is worthless if he makes the wrong read half the time.
