Question: Does the Theater have a view of the Swamp? Is it an open theatre?

Don't know for sure, but I highly doubt it. Based on the drawings, the theater seats face the new courtyard......but it would be behind a solid wall. So I think the only view will be of the screen/stage.

I asked because in the years after they drained The original Swamp (early 1920's)and before it was re-flooded (early 1940's) UL students used to put on and perform plays in "Cypress Grove"

Yeah, I have seen pictures of that.
I am curious as to what work, if any, will be done on the swamp itself, and the bulkhead surrounding it. EG, much earlier on in the post, I think it was said that they will either keep the grill/balcony projecting over the swamp from Guillory hall, or create a replica of it. Also, if anything will be done on the bulkhead. And finally, I think it would be really cool if they would restore the pathway that used to bisect the swamp, which I think existed into the late 60's??

When I was a kid, we use to ride our "Sting Rays" to the swamp and fish on that pathway. It was easy, we would always catch!!

Wow...that must've been really cool. Where was the path located (where did it start/end)? Do you know when it was removed, or why?
