AI, Al.... bad news for our new alligator mascot.
Why when typing more so than writing, does Capital A and Calital I, look the same as A, lowecase l, AI...Al??

What happened to the cross on top and bottom of capital I?

Talk to lcitsh, he has been dealing with that type of thing, long before the public release of AI.

As a result, it looks as though almost all SEC coaches decided not to put Texas Tech on their schedule. The only SEC team to do so is Texas A&M.

So, Texas Tech will be playing Jacksonville State, North Texas, Providence, Bethune-Cookman, Abilene Christian, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Detroit Mercy, Tarleton State, Stetson, UTEP. None of these teams are exactly world beaters. I promise you, in probably more than one of these games, Texas Tech will score more than 20 runs.
This is a reach. His location makes it a little harder to play SEC schools, and they are playing a very similar non-conference schedule as last year.

He had to schedule aggressive here. He does not have to do it as much at UL Lubbock.

Sorry, but, I don't think that's much of an excuse. I think his team was blacklisted by SEC schools.

I read where Tennessee coach, Karen Weekley, who had her All-SEC third baseman stolen by TT, sent out an email to all SEC coaches advising them not to schedule TT. The other SEC coaches, except one, took her advice.

Wow, might be first good thing SEC ever did. Although he was in essence created by the SEC...(errr or travel ball)

The Alligator is a great mascot and should be adopted. However, the name Al doesn't fit UL. It looks more like a shortened Alabama. "Louie" is a better name, short for Louisiana. And if we do what a lot of schools have done, have male and female alligators, the female could be "Ana". How better to reflect the Louisiana name?
