One of the longest home runs I've ever seen hit at Lamson Park, was the one Stephanie DeFeo hit against UCLA in the 1997 regional.

I think DeFeo was taller than 5' if memory serves me correct.😊

Wonder when the 2025 Schedule will be released?
I know we play OU twice and LSU twice OOC.

I don't think you have to play gorilla ball to win, but I completely agree that small ball is a direct line to losing. To win, it is now totally necessary that every player in your lineup must have at least gap power and the ability to drive in runners from 2nd base, and to win big, nearly everyone in your lineup must hit a few HR, with two or more of them in double digits in HR.

There is still a place for slappers, and most elite teams have a good one. Just don’t have 3 in the lineup!!

To your point, I dont think that the National team has any slappers.

That is almost 100% not true. Elite teams are the teams that make it to the World Series. How many slappers were in the lineup in last year's World Series? I'm not sure there was one.

I cannot stress enough, the game has changed. This is not the 1980s or 1990s. Or, even the 2000s.
