Sorry, but, Aly is much taller than 5 ft. Heart does count for a lot, but probably not enough to out do physicality. This is not 1993. The game has changed. It is now all about power. Teams have to have players who can hit the ball over the fence. Last year the team hit 22 home runs, 12 by one player. I think that's the fewest home runs in at least the last 25 years.

If you think small ball, like was played last year, is going to lead the Cajuns to a different result this year, I think you're fooling yourself.

Maybe the new hitting coach can work miracles. In three months, we'll find out. Fingers crossed.

Summar Lapeyrouse was 4’10”. She hit the longest home run I’ve ever seen at Lamson Park. For whatever that’s worth, lol.

No doubt. She was a great player. However, I think you proved my point. In her entire career, that long home run was one of only seven home runs she hit in her career. She hit zero home runs as a sophomore. What the team needs is more players like Danyele Gomez who hit a total of 83 home runs in her career, which includes 30 she hit as a senior. That's eight more than the entire Cajun team hit last year.
