If it is tech, I don’t think it will be, we will be swapping a football program with 14 bowls as opposed to 2, a basketball program with 7 ncaa’s as opposed to 2, a baseball program with 11 regionals as opposed to 6…I get the tech hate but overall the SBC would be getting a much better athletic program. So if you really believe it’s SLC 2.0…we were already there and it won’t be bc of this move.

You don’t know that. They said the exact same thing when Tx St joined. They’ve had 12 years to put something together and failed. They are one of many large enrollment schools in populated areas that haven’t accomplished jack squat.

Texas state has the second worst conference winning percentage..EVER. Seems they were never gonna get their to their ceiling here. Point being if you think adding tech will make us SLC 2.0, I have bad news then..we already were with Texas state.

Ok. Put all conceivable academic/athletic/socioeconomic metrics of both Texas State and LaTech on a line graph. Forecast out 10-20 years. The trend line will settle the debate easily.

Texas state will continue to underperform their “potential” and may be even worse where they are going. Texas state and Georgia state actually don’t “fit” with everyone else in this conference.

No being in a giant market does..which is literally why everyone else has, I don’t see how people don’t understand that.
