And with the PAC and associated travel don't think for one second that San Marcos didn't come out way ahead of almost anyone else in that regards. It isn't as much about Texas State travel as it is all the schools coming in to Texas State. You have one International Airport 35 minutes away and another 45 minutes away. I didn't check but I would bet between the two airports there won't be much of an issue in getting regular direct commercial flights between all the PAC locations.
Texas State is sitting in the middle of two MSA's with over 5.5 million people. Might help a little as well.
It doesn't matter what the SunBelt does.
It matters what Louisiana does.
Louisiana has been stuck in neutral for going on 50 years.
Since going major in basketball over 50 years ago, and football being an original D1 member, they have become comfortable being a welcome mat for FCS schools.
