and if we had an opening on a certain date and need an fcs home game, the in state schools arent open.. then what? the rest of our ooc for september of 2027 are already set. Mcneese, SLU and NWST arent available so that leaves grambling or southern who may already be in contract talks for sept 11th. We already play lamar in 2026.

there are only 5 options..and we play them all the time..and they play other schools all the time. Scheduling is not done in a vaccum. The focus has been on a ballanced schedule, 6 home and 6 road..a p4, a home fcs. home and road g5. They work back from there, if they scheduled 7 road games to simply accomodate in state fcs teams, people would btch about that.
