The day after a late Wednesday night, Louisiana Track and Field competed in four events at the NCAA East Regional in Jacksonville, Florida, on Thursday.

The day started early with the women's hammer at 7 a.m. CT after last night's events ran until after midnight due to a five-hour-long weather delay. Lily Murray wrapped up a strong season for the Cajuns, finishing 40th with a throw of 177-5/54.08. A regional regular, Marin Barras was 42nd in the javelin with a throw of 134-8/41.06.

In the 100m, Amairi Ashford placed 47th with a time of 11.62. After the weather postponed it last night, Teodor Borgius finished 37th in the men's pole vault after clearing 16-6/5.03.

Louisiana will have four events on the docket tomorrow as they look to punch tickets to the national championships. The day begins at 1:30 p.m. CT with Jeremy Nelson competing in the triple jump, looking to reach nationals for the second year in a row. Louisiana will also be represented in the 4x100m and 4x400m relays, as well as Joe Patterson in the 800m quarterfinals
