Louisiana will host East Texas A&M at Cajun Field on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2027. The game will mark the seventh overall meeting between the two teams on the gridiron.

They were formally Texas A&M-Commerce and not a shocker, they have played a FBS team each of the last 2 seasons and this year have SMU on the schedule. Last year they played SDSU and the year before that it was ODU. They are an FCS team NE of Dallas.

We still need a P4 road game for 2026.

We played Texas Southern in 2019, and we had Central Arkansas scheduled in 2020; but that game was cancelled due to COVID.

I remember we played NC A&T in the past as well as Lamar in 2026 coming in. We had Central Arkansas scheduled, but it was cancelled during covid. Texas Southern in 2019, Larmar in 2012. So yes we have.

They fill the yearly regional or state FCS on the schedule. Matters not to me if we play Southern, Grambling, McNeese, Nicholls, Southeastern, Northwestern and any Texas FCS. We will have one on the schedule every year.

Never schedule an out of state FCS team.

There are enough Liberty level schools to do H&H across the board.

You only need 4 per year.
