Thread: Watch South Alabama's coach go nuts

The fact is that there are more games in the NCAA W/O a monitor than there are games with a monitor. The rule is that there is a monitor at televised games, and that the officials can only use the monitor if it is on the same side of the court as the official score keeper.

Man this aint rocket science to install a monitor. To think the Cajundome don't have the capability. Give me a break. If they can put a score board that some MBA areans envy they can sure fine a $50 monitor and a few feet of coax and a couple of RCA connectors and let one of the students connect it between beers....and by your statement "why use it for some games and not others" would suggest they or capable....have a good day.

Rip on Arrow all you want. But the guy wins games and championships.

He has won nearly 600 career games. He has won three junior college national titles, four regular season conference titles and three conference tournament championships.

He also made four trips to the NCAA Tournament. That included two during his first stint at South Alabama, one at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and again last season when he returned to South Alabama.

In no way do his accomplishments make his behavior acceptable the other night. But the guy knows how to coach.

Ok, but it's pretty obvious the officials aren't allowed to use that monitor to review plays. Just imagine the day when the opponent hits a game winning three point shot against the Cajuns only to see his foot was obviously on the line by the replay on the jumbotron. With no monitor on the sideline for the refs to review, the home crowd will end up going home very disappointed. I just don't understand why any school with the capability wouldn't want this feature to keep things as fair as possible.

Fair enough. Here's a piece of advice, simply avoid any thread or post that has the name bballholic attached to it. I've never been warned by any adminstrator, so I'm assuming that I haven't broken any rules...

We don't have to avoid any threads so keep the "advice".

Regardless if the shot was released in time or not (which I think it was), it seems their should be one available for plays similar to this one. In fact, I've seen three point shots reviewed during the middle of the first half on several ocassions this season. _
We cannot afford such luxuries as MONITORS. Our brothers in the legislature who take care of LSUA&MBR have only allocated enough to buy shoes and game balls.

Not to get into the middle of this, but lets you and me remember that it's his home forum and not ours.

    Peace
