They sure taught him well while he was in New Orleans.
It is headlined----"They will Follow Him" in the Nov. 24th issue of Sporting News Mag. Talks about his growing up in BB and his grandpa--also Teurlings and the Cajuns--A great color action photo of his UL days--sorry I don't know how to show it---anyone on this board would love it!!!!! If anybody follows Bama --they will also love this issue!!!!
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Carolina Panthers quarterback Jake Delhomme gives Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy a large share of the credit for his success in the NFL.
Delhomme was starting his fourth NFL season when McCarthy came to the New Orleans Saints in 2000 as the offensive coordinator under new head coach Jim Haslett.
While Delhomme had shown promise as an undrafted free agent out of Louisiana-Lafayette, he was reaching a critical juncture in his career after spending 1997 on the Saints' practice squad and the next two seasons as the team's third quarterback.
Prolly not.
We are Cajun fans... NFL is a side show... kinda like pro women's softball... I'll root for a Cajun, couldn't care less if the team was in New Orleans or Bahgdad
The Saints had Delhomme, that was easy... easy to root for the home team.
If the Saints get Fenroy, I'll prolly root for the team they let him go to, that's how it worked in the past.
UL has shown loyalty to me, so the school gets it.
The Saints??? c'mon.
The only people who follow pro football that don't think the Saints franchise is a joke are Saints fans.
