Man will I pull for the Bownies---former UL coach Carl Smith is the Browns QB coach and jake of course a former ULer at QB!!!!!!
Jake will get a good opportunity to start were he to sign with Cleveland. I don't remember who the Browns have at WR or RB. Any of you guys know. Personally, I would like to see him with the Broncos where he would be a teammate of Stokley. As far as Lucroy making the Brewers, I expect he is still a year away and will start the season in AAA.
i thought this was gonna be about fujita
Delhomme, an undrafted rookie signed by the Saints in 1997 out of Louisiana-Lafayette, joined the Panthers as a free agent in 2003 and led them to the Super Bowl against New England that season. Delhomme threw for 323 yards and three TDs -- including ...
I thought Jake was 40. He still should have a few more seasons left. I'm sure he will land someplace. I don't know if any of you checked out the message boards for Carolina. It was kind of funny. They were all calling for his head until they actually fired him. Then there was a lot of uncertainty and regret.
Josh Cribbs will be one the only playmakers he has at WR. Braylon Edwards was of course traded and I'm not sure what they are doing with Jamal Lewis. A young rookie came on last year at RB and played really well and showed some signs. They are not very talented and it would be a tough position.
Can't see myself pulling for the dudu browns. I haven't liked them ever since Kosar' n 'company terrorized my Elway led Broncos of the late 80's. I tend to lean toward's pulling for teams because of their history of winning or combination of players rather than pulling for them because of one particular individual
I have never "pulled" for a team because a local player was there. I could never pull for the Panthers since they were conference rivals and I always wanted to see the Saints win. However, i pull for Jake and hope he plays well as long as it doesn't hurt the Saints. Truthfully, I never understood the allegiance to a team just because one individual was a part of it, especially when that allegiance rivals our local team team that we supported our entire lives.
Pretty easy to understand. A local boy makes it to the Super Bowl. It gives locals a reason to the local team and follow a team they think will be a Super Bowl winner. I'm sure they saw the flaw in the logic with pulling for an individual and his team. I wonder if Jake will accept a role as backup this late in his career? Not sure if he has much gas left in the tank. I would ride the bench very happily for a few million. I wish him the best and if he ends up with the Browns in the AFC I hope he makes it to another Super Bowl and wins it this time just as long as the NFC team isn't the Saints.
