He isn’t nearly as talented as Justin Anderson was and even he was a half step to slow.
So being compared to a guy who had a shot at the NFL with 4 teams, aint a bad thing. Not many people are as talented as players who make NFL practice squad and active rosters.

He’s not in the same stratosphere as JA. Boudreaux is a tackle to tackle LB, he is decent in the box, but not an all-sbc caliber player talent wise.

Look I wasn't comparing him to JA, someone else brought that up. I'm just saying that we aren't strong at the MLB position is not accurate either. JB is a 2nd Team All Preseason SBC Player. So I guess he is an all SBC Caliber Player.

I like the discussion we are having on the QB's. It's likely to be a hot topic (again) this year and until we get that Broadway (pre-injury) type talent (or better) as our starter it will continue. I'm not a big fan of the 2 QB system, unless they are equal which is great then you have that backup ready to go. The problem at our level, if they are equal, it's not a good thing, in my opinion. We should have on the team someone who can take the reigns and go, and then meanwhile develop the next one in the wings. I for sure don't want to swap a high performing QB to a QB that struggles, it just doesn't make sense. I'm not saying Napier will do this, but all I have to go by is what I have seen. Like T said, there is a reason Napier is bringing in these QB's, he is searching.

Good point, we need someone who excels at passing and can escape when needed, I think.

We need someone who is pass first then when the pocket collapse escape ... Not 1 read run type we have had

For my money, Levi at QB and Jacques at MLB are basically the same. Great leaders, outstanding students of the game, would hire each one in a hard beat and both are limited physically at their position.

Yes we can win the Sun Belt with both of them starting at their positions, but it requires game planning for both. Our offense and defense will both take a big step forward if/when we get players with their mindset at those positions, that is a level or two higher in talent.

    I agree with this statement.
Tulane killed us in the bowl game by taking advantage of our lack of mobility at MLB.

Agreed. But to say those are week positions is crazy. I was trying to point out that deuce Wallace/Terik Miller and jaucque Boudreaux won’t be our weaknesses this year. Also. JB is better to me at MLB than Levi Lewis is at qb and reality is if LL is our starting qb I won’t be upset.
