Yes. If he is doing an exceptional job, and you are afraid he will be recruited away, or as a reward for doing a consistently exceptional job, or if the team is making strong and consistent progress. Again, I am not a Marlin basher, can't remember posting anything on him, but I would genuinely like to hear anybody give reasons why he is doing an exceptional job or that his teams have shown strong and consistent progress.
I'm really confused. First you say that the possibility of the coach being lured away is the sole reason to give an extension or raise, then provide a couple of other reason to do so. Which one is it?
How about if the AD feels that he can't find a better coach at this time for the same money and terms?
