Very confident this guy and the forward from Miami will sign in the November early signing period. That will leave one scholarship and it likely goes to a JUCO inside player.

Seems like this class is significantly weaker than the previous 2 years one would think winning 27 gamss last year would boost recruiting.

The only consistency from Big Fish is not getting to the finals, and the NCAA.

Ron is pulling 2 to 3 3 stars a year consistently and we wonder why we can't beat him

To be fair mostly he’s getting Atlanta prospects who’ve had issues at P5 schools and transferee

So he chose UL because he thinks he can play right away as a freshman.

And chose us over Sam Houston and Texas St?

Leads me to believe that he didn't feel he would play right away at those schools.

    Ouch.

Think your reading too much into that, this article paints a little different picture. A direct quote saying he felt like since the majority of his offers were from Sun Belt schools (a Little Rock offer as well) he felt like he should go with the school he knew would consistently stay near the top. It also mentions offers from Houston and Rice from before his junior year. He is the #30 ranked prospect in Texas, not a home run but can probably be a solid contributor. My main concern with these 2 commits is they seem to be very similar in size and style to Julien and Johnson, the 2 additions for next year we already have on campus. I know big men are hard to find and it sounds like there might be some JUCO prospects, so I guess time will tell on that.

At the banquet last night, an assistant coach told me they are very high on Lowery. Thinks he can make a significant contribution in Year 1. His shot improved quite a bit over the summer in AAU play. He did not talk as much about the Miami kid but perhaps he is not as familiar with him. At the golf tournament, another coach said the Miami guy will remind Cajuns fans of Travis Bureau. Also, these guys have not gone through their senior year yet. Don't be surprised if they have very successful seasons. Of course, no staff will say they are signing poor players.
