It is sure to be a fun thing when the Louisiana Cajuns and state match up. Tough playing state in BR.” Can you imagine the tiger poo poo postings???

If they want to still call us ULL or Louisiana Lafayette, or UL Lafayette, we call them State instead of LSU to get them riled up.

I understand that may not be the view of some of our softball supporters due to the passion with which they support their favorite program. My point is not to disrespect those positions or the accomplishments of the female athletes which represent us with class. It is simply to point out how things are viewed nationally.
Not sure what you’re trying to say Mike? Men’s NIT or women’s.

Softball is one of the fastest growing sports period. No women’s sports create a blip on macro level, but you’d be wrong to dismiss softball. It’s growing in all areas. Naturally it’s not going to be big in cities like NY because of land use. But it’s big in red counties who way outnumber blue counties.

Yeah...I’ve got to be honest, and I know basketball, even the NIT, likely moves the needle more than Softball Regionals.

But I’d sure as hell get more excited about our girls pulling an upset and going to a Super Regional, which is reserved for only 16 teams in the country, than any win we’d get in the NIT, which means we were left out of the Top 64.
