I get what he is saying but it’s not like it’s hard to find anywhere in this country...especially on a college campus. Consumption of alcohol under the age of 21 is illegal too but that doesn’t stop college kids from doing it. It’s like a common fruit stand everywhere, just one you get in trouble for shopping at and one you don’t.

Pot being legal in Colorado is not an advantage.. Pretty dumb to suggest TBH.

    Fort Collins > Lafayette
    MWC > SBC

    That’s it. Period.

I get your point, but it is refreshing to see someone behave like a responsible parent. You are correct, if a kid wants to act like a fool, he/she will do it. But as a parent he is attempting to lead him in a responsible direction! Kudos to you Policarp!!!!!

Which should be done regardless of where he is going. It’s like the naive parent that sends their kid to private school to avoid “that crowd”. I attended both private and public and can promise you, the amount of drugs and the level of drugs used at private school is astronomically higher than at public schools and starts at a way younger age. Teaching your kid to make good decisions is more effective than trying to shield them from reality. Marijuana use is very heavily ingrained in urban culture and the younger generation in general. If the drinking age was still 18 in Louisiana that would give us an advantage with some recruits just like legal marijuana probably gives them an advantage with some recruits. You won’t ever hear the coaches say it directly but i promise you it crosses several of those 17-18 year old minds. Wasn’t trying to get this far off topic, just pointing out that could be a unique advantage that only certain schools have.

Thank you MAT I always say in recruiting you're going to win some and lose some no need to be negative just move on to the next guy coach is trying to recruit.

I'm not going to argue your points. Drugs are everywhere and in can be found in every economic setting. Anyone that wants drugs can get drugs with very little effort. My point is that Policarp appears to be doing his best to keep his son away from "obvious" temptations. Many parents don't provide any input and direction and just hope for the best. Sometimes that works, many times it doesn't.

Certainly not knocking anyone on this subject and That’s great that y’all agreed. The temptation is on every middle school, high school and college campus in America was my point and if he made it this far without caving in he is doing pretty good.
