I noticed that Curry is listed as High Interest in ULM and Low Interest in Louisiana, probably because we are signing Gauthier
Dean is 6 ft. 280 and runs a 5.3 and is rated as **, whereas Glazer is 6 ft. 3", 285 lbs. and runs a 5.0 and is rated **** and was recruited by Kansas among others. Dean will need to put on more weight to handle 300+ lb. interior linemen and that will only make him slower. Who else was recruiting him? What is the upside to a 6 ft. slow DT? Bustle keeps recruiting huge OL but needs to seriously beef up the defense. Glazer is a great start. And, we seem to have a few DT & DE coming back from last year. But, our DEs are always too light at under 235 lbs. and we never have a pass rush. I thought our #1 priority this year was DL, but so far 80% of our recruits are on offense.
Dean might not have the top end speed but he is explosive....he had i believe 18 sacks this year. He will be a nice NT for us. He just needs to be a rock that is hard to get out of the way. The more blockers that our DT's take up the mroe our DE's and LB's will be able to run around and make plays.
