It's the mindset that I can't stand from our AD and athletic department. Their mentality is we are going to Alabama or any money game to simply get a check, we aren't going there to get paid to win. How do you ever sell the players on believing they can win if nobody around them believes it? This entire story is based on the 1.5 million, not the fact we are playing Bama. Our AD and everyone around him are so ingrained with accepting mediocrity it's like a disease. While beating Bama is sl to none, you will always fall on the none side of you believe you lost before you step off the bus. Our coach was healthy when he got here but I believe he has been infected.

They don't have fans. Everyone knows that.

You know it's mostly to do with timing, right? Monroe wasn't a terrible team as they finished 6-6 that year they won in Tuscaloosa. 2007 was Bama's first year under Saban and they finished 7-6. While it's an impressive win nonetheless for the Hoax, it's not like they beat one of the Alabama teams from 2008 on that have won 10 plus games every year.

It's the same with their win over #8 Arkansas in 2012. ULM had their best team in the last couple of decades and finished the year 8-5, while Arkansas was well over ranked to start the season and limped home at 4-8.

It's when you play these teams and under what circumstances.

When UL beat #25 TAMU, we had a good team and TAMU was down that year. They also turned the ball over like 6 times and were playing on the road in Lafayette. When we beat K-State in 2009, that Wildcat team wasn't very good. I think they finished 6-6 with 2 wins over the FCS and therefor did not qualify for a bowl. We should have wins over Florida in 12' and would have beat a bad Kentucky team last year if we had the team from 2014. Again, timing.

Louisiana and ULM have been blown out in these games probably at the same percentage if you look at overall history. But from time to time, they catch a team in the right circumstances and will win.

I like that we are playing Ole Miss and Moo State. Bama, not so much. TAMU is a nice game for fans to attend, but we will more likely than not get killed.

we better have our head's on a swivel, bama likes to make plays that are similar to targeting but per refs somehow not a foul of any sort, targeting or otherwise

Well I guess the thinking is if we play enough of these games it wont feel like we are in the suckbelt anymore. Hope we still have a team after the early season match up.
