You're right. I must not understand football. Good one MAT.
Were you perhaps one of the #FreeHaack crusaders?

Nixon didn't set the world on fire. But AJ isn't exactly doing that either.

How is Haack doing at Northwestern?

I'll give you one guess. They have played 4 games. And the number of wins is either 0 or 4

Hey he's thrown 0 intercepts so far this season. So he has that going for him I guess.

I saw a tweet the other day where his sister took a jab at the football team....seems like I would hold my tweets with baby bro putting up that kind of line.

I think it's a little of both. I don't think the Cajuns want a primarily throwing quarterback, or they seem not to want one. The offense isn't designed for that type of quarterback, and they didn't make an effort last year to tailor it for one.

I've always thought our best option in our current level would be a wide open offense (like Houston or Memphis) as it would be much easier to recruit skill player. JMO

That's more than can be said about AJ. All AJ does is throw up jump balls hoping that our receivers make a play on the ball. Nixon could do that all day long. Plus he wasn't scared to run.

Nixon did the same thing against Kentucky and mounted a comeback in that game. Yet Ragin Pagins were still on a crusade to #FreeHaack all season. All blame on Hud on none on the QB seems to be the popular stance around here. I think almost equal fault should be placed on the HC and the QB. I have been questioning Hud's play calling lately, but at the same time, Hud isn't telling AJ to go out there and throw the ball to the defenders.
Nixon was a decent change of pace QB, and had some success on a very limited basis. However, if you believe having a one dimensional QB is the long term answer to an effective offense, I have to respectfully disagree! If we go with a one dimensional QB, it better be with a QB that is a decent passer rather than a good runner. RB's and others can handle the heavy running load, but only the QB can handle the passing duties and directing the offense.

Haack is a good kid, but he did not fit the type of QB Hud wants for his system. Jennings does and Nixon did, he wasn't winning much with either. So again, who's system is it?
