Jay Hedgemen suspended

Ummm, the name of this thread is "Jay Hedgemen Suspeded" so i think its appropriate to talk about that topic in this thread. there is a thread about marlin and his recruiting and that discussion is going on in there.



you are the only one alleging this. i havent seen any proof or anyone else say the reason he is gone is because he stood up to coach. you, and only you, came up with the story out of la-la land, and said i can completely see this happening, and in your head (the way you keep posting) it has become fact.

Who cares!!!! We have a coach who has had a mass exodus. Same coach has run off one of the "glue" guys for this team. Same coach is 102-88 in his tenure here with roughly 15 non D1 opponents.

Only common denominator is Bobby Big Fish. Time to cut the line and find a shark not a Marlin.

If you're so confident Im make ____ up, why aren't all the basketball people coming here to take up for Marlin?

How do you know other players on the team are also questioning Marlin behind closed doors?

You also seemed to have known what was going on "behind closed doors" with the football just a few months ago.

What if Marlin said this:

"New team rule. I know some of you are venting to people outside of the team. That was your first and last chance. It happened in the Fall but its not gonna happen now. If it does, you're done for the year."

I'm sure people would back Robe if he dismissed a player (as would I) if he found out somebody was moaning to somebody outside of the team.

This is pure speculation on my part.

HOWEVER, if If I was a coach and found out somebody on a message board was _____ing about lockerroom matters that could only have been disclosed by a player (or worse, a coach), somebody would be gone.

What I "claimed" to know about football this year (I'm assuming you're talking about the lockeroom stufd and the coaches arguing in front of players) was not really a secret and was proven to be 100% correct.

The same issues have gone on with almost every basketball team we've had since Marlin has been here. Again, no secret there.

My comment about him speaking up for other players is what it is. If you've ever participated in sports, you'll know that very rarely will a kid challenge a coach all on his own. 9/10 times, things build, they come to a head, one of the team leaders takes the temp of the team, and then builds up enough courage to speak up. Now, that's not the only reason I believe that played a part..

dude, you just tried to control the content by saying we dont need to talk about this, we need to talk about marlin and his recruiting. you are literally all over the place, you need to get it together.

how do you know it was something he said, and it wasnt actions off the court? thats what im trying to find out, and you have yet to answer that question

im not here saying marlin is our savior, but if he came in and set rules for the program, (that obviously were not in place under robert lee) and players didnt like those rules and bolted, and has stood by those rules even to the extent of having to suspend a team favorite, i have absolutely no problem with that.

his results, i agree, should be better.

Jay Walker is not going to go against Marlin. And look, from a rigid standpoint, you can look at insubordination and say it deserves a suspension. I would say it would have to be a repeat offender to get that kind of sentence, but hey, that's an opinion.

You obviously don't value my opinion, so why would my answer be of any use about the off field question? Ask BOP or Mike.
