Bama has been the only national champ to win with a pocket passer over the last 10 years. Winston, Tebow, Leak ,Newton , Flynn....all could move around a bit

    College football has changed
We had a pretty solid O line last year. But I agree. You need a great o line for that. But that's why I think someone like Haack is perfect for us. He's more of a passer but he definitely has some wheels.

I think it's gonna be Nixon...played great in the '13 NOLA Bowl.

It could be Dion Ray, Dalvin Populist or Chris Weaver for all we know.

Cajuns lose to Georgia State this year if B-Way doesnt have to go to the locker room for fluids in the fourth quarter.

Haack came in and made the throws to drive the Cajuns down the field to set up theB-Way touchdown "heave."

The only game this season that B-Way made throws like Haack did in that fourth quarter drive was in N.O. against Nevada.

Haack's throws just look so nice leaving his hand. Maybe it is just because we saw him right after watching TB throw. I'm really pulling for Haack because we haven't seen an arm like that in a while at UL. But after seeing Hud insert Nixon into the game right after his suspension I think Hud has his mind made up that Haack will not be starting next year. I hope I'm wrong. Haack will have to just be so dominating in practice that the coaches will have no choice but to play him. I would just hate to see talent like his go to waste.

I don't think it will go to waste. If he doesn't get the assurance of starting the season after spring practice, he will head west and play FCS ball.

Its great to have this much competition at arguably the most important position on the team! But, the downside of this is a lot of talented guys will have to sit or change positions. We will likely lose 1 or 2 along the way. See D.Landor.

Given our lack of true experience at QB, I wouldn't be surprised to see a 2 QB system in play next season. Personally, I'd like to see Brooks and either Jalen or Jordan in that scheme.

I'm a big Jalen fan and think he will surprise some with his passing ability if given the opportunity. But, there is nothing quite like getting snaps with live bullets. If he wasn't suspended early in the season, HUD may have given him a shot because they wouldn't have had to change the game plan.

I didn't catch any practices this season so I haven't seen Jordan put thru the paces. This spring will be very interesting! Hopefully, we will have enough healthy bodies to scrimmage or even have a real "spring game".

You need to watch the replay on those passes. The one to Pettis is behind him and Petttis makes a great catch. The pass to Riles was a terrific play on his part. I am fairly sure if Broadway had made those passes you would be giving the credit to the receivers and not Broadway. I am for the best quarterback to win the job. I would be really happy if it is Haack because he seems to be a quality young man.

I was about to post the same thing. Everybody is saying Haack will be great based off of those two passes where truly the receivers made great great catches. I do give him credit for the scramble that set up the riles catch though. I personally think it will be jordan Davis but may the best qb win

All in the narrative crawfish. The best pass on that drive was the one that hit Robinson in the numbers in the endzone. Brooks threw 4 passes that drive. 1 shovel which Broadway has completed 100 times. 1 swing which Broadway has completed 100 times. A pass behind Pettis where he made an amazing adjustment and catch. A prayer that Riles reeled in with a sportscenter highlight catch. This is not to downplay haacks ability. It's to show the blatant double standard between the two players. I'm glad Broadway gets to ride off into the sunset with his 2 mvp trophies and multiple career records at UL. It's a shame that the leader of our most successful stretch in program history is ridiculed more than praised for his gutsy career.
