I am putting my vote in for next years starting QB for Patrick Morton. I have no idea why, but everyone else has an opinion and no one is talking about Patrick Morton, so I am.
Look at these numbers........I mean he should arguably be our starter.
Combined for 1,500 yards of total offense as a senior at John Curtis … threw for 18 touchdowns as the Patriots’ starting quarterback … was part of a Patriot program that produced a four-year record of 53-3, a pair of Class 2A state titles, two state runner-up finishes, and the consensus 2012 high school national championship.
Brady Thomas is my vote. A real modern day Justin Venable… I'm sure he has a few more years of eligibility right? Seems like he was our holder for 8 years...
I'm thinking Haack or Davis, should his football acumen reach his GOD given talent. Honestly, if Hud has showed anything to us is that he can be hard headed in his believes ( see defensive schemes, etc) and I along with everyone else have no clue what is running through Hud's mind. I just hope he approaches the pending QB battle with an open mind like he did with our Defensive approach when we kicked NEVADA AZ$. Any way, I fully expect this argument to be discussed in 20 more threads between now and the spring game !!!
Haack made the single biggest throw of the year on that 4th and long play vs. Georgia State... off his back foot to get the first down... when the Cajuns were down late. This was after Broadway was temporarily knocked out. Nobody besides Haack has the ability to make that throw. It was the turning point of the season. If that pass falls incomplete it is 1-4 and likely downhill from there... Just, IMHO.
Or if TB doesn't leave the game, he does what he has his whole career, lead us down the field for the win, runs out the clock and georgia state never gets the ball back. Why is it assumed if broadway stays in we lose? How about the defense getting the big stop when we needed it most? A freshman made the tackle on 4th.
I've been told in practice Haack can hit the press box from the field.
