I have to agree. While defense played well and kept us in the game into the 3rd quarter it wasn't until TB seemed to start clicking that the offense started to really roll. And the D, which had been good, really dominated the rest of the game. And that may very well be a testament to his leadership. While I was right there with everyone else moaning about his poor passing early on, I can't overlook the fact that this team seems to takes it cue from Broadway.

Everyone has to realize that TWO playmakers (Zo and Jamal) weren't play last night and for ANY team that's a big deal. It changes everything and yet they found a way to win THAT game. They are playing as a team...picking up the slack for others who may be having a bad game. They are finding a way to win....and that fact is what I came away with from the game last night. The guys were in a dog fight and as much as some would like to think differently Broadway was a huge part of it. He is a leader on the team and has the ability to manage the team. To me, that is much more important than hitting a receiver on a go route. He is the same guy that took over for gauthier to lead the team to a bowl win, the same guy, the same guy who played with plates in his arm and lead the team to another bowl win and the same guy who is #3 in the books in completions.

The same guy the doesn't deserve fickle fans, who do not know the dynamic of the team, to point out every single mistake that he makes like.
    Amen. You're right.

---I heard this but might be embellishing a bit ---A certain Cajun receiver in the 70s that had offers from OKLA which at the time was running the wishbone was corrected for not blocking ---well his reply was that if he wanted to block he would have signed with Oklahoma---Great story if it is true!!!

Might be one of the dumbest comments ever on this board.

If a WR doesn't go all out to block, he can't play for me.

    Or Hud.
Knowing full well I'm diving in to the dumb and dumber genre...

Not getting thrown to kills what coach Robichaux calls 'getting adrenalized'

The level of play is affected. The gap between an unadrenalized player playing at 100% and an adrenalized player playing at 100% are football fields apart.

It is ABSOLUTELY clear to me (and probably most others on this board) that Broadway is:

    - a good team leader
    - a good RUNNING-passing (vs a PASSING-running) QB (I loved Gautier).
-a good roll out quarterback (with an option to run).
-a little challenged as a true "passer" (with the good-to-great receivers we had over the past two years this was not evident so such until this year).

-It is also pretty clear to ME that with these talents - regardless of his shortfalls - the OC should be able to build a BETTER offense around him than we have.
-With Broadway , McGuire, and Harris - we should be accumulating 400+ yards EVERY game......

-----Anybody that has ever played as a RB or a receiver would have to admit that they are more pumped or whatever when their play is called---maybe call it a chance to be watched, glory, credit, or pride to do the job----And yes the blocking is a huge part but not the part you relish!!!

Jay had some very choice words for a few people in this thread during he and Scott's show today. It was good to hear some of yall get called out for the moronic comments made during a game.

You do realize we've surpassed over 400 yards in every game except Boise and Ole Miss, right?
