Nope. Elfrid played 1. At least one of the articles in this thread mentions that, as well; so it isn't just me misremembering [thought that DOES happen].

Every year there is a player that seems to shoot up the draft boards over the last few weeks before the draft and is selected higher than anyone projected.

Sometimes teams simply miss out on a player, perhaps because he plays for a smaller school and didn’t see great competition. Other times, just one team falls in love with a certain player and surprise everyone by taking him (see the Cleveland Cavaliers selecting former UNLV Runnin’ Rebels’ forward Anthony Bennett with the number one-overall pick last year).
