Congratulations to E
This is nothing but good for our program and for recruiting
We have the potential to have players come out early and be drafted in back to back years
Not bad for a guy who got one d1 offer out of high school. I read that he got to start in high school because the guy ahead of him who was getting recruited got into trouble or something. Then a couple of UL's players get the axe or transfer and he ends up getting a chance to develop more than he probably would have otherwise. Funny how things work out for the most unlikely of people to get opportunities like this. Great job EP!!!
UL guard Elfrid Payton will be among the players invited to be in the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, for the NBA Draft this coming Thursday.
Only prospects that are projected to go in the first round of the draft are invited to be in the green room and walk out on the stage when their name is called.
Congratulations to Elfrid!!! This is a great thing for him and for UL.
Thought I would share his interview from today

Former Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns standout Elfrid Payton was one of a handful of NBA hopefuls who were invited to attend the NBA Draft, which is scheduled for Thursday at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
"In the third set of pre-draft workouts for the Los Angeles Lakers, Louisiana-Lafayette’s Elfrid Payton was asked back for a second workout at the Lakers facility. He was high on their radar after his skill impressed many during his first workout at the Toyota Sports Center."
