All of my autographs from Elfrid he signed with "Geaux Cajuns", I think he will represent the university and himself well.
A little love from last years NBA Rookie of the Year (sorry if someone posted this already as it was tweeted last week)
What he doesn’t have is an outside shooter’s touch. This season, the Ragin' Cajuns junior averaged 19.2 points, 6.0 boards and 5.9 assists per game but only shot .259 from beyond the arc. Shooting is something that can be improved upon. The odds of the ...

Great news! Looks like we're going to see a Cajun in an NBA uniform for the first time in a very, very long time.

It's been quite some time since the UL Ragin' Cajuns basketball program have had a player tabbed as one of the elite prospects in the NBA Draft, but the drought is expected to come to an end on Thursday as Elfrid Payton is projected to be a first round pick and possibly a lottery pick in the 2014 NBA Draft.

Quick update with the draft coming tomorrow. The more I read, the more likely it seems that, if the Lakers like Payton, they're going to have to take him at 7 because word is Sacramento LOVES Elfrid and they aren't likely to pass him up at 8 (barring somebody huge slipping or some kind of trade). So everybody have your popcorn ready...I think our boy's going early tomorrow night, and I don't think it's too far-fetched to predict he could be playing somewhere in California next year.
