I think Tulane's actual attendance at the bowl will be about 80% of their average announced attendance in the regular season. I fully expect the 'Other' crowd to be at least 60% for the Cajuns, if only slightly.

That type of chatter is the best way for a nothing program to prepare for an sss whipping.

After said sss whipping they can say..."Well it was their Super Bowl!"

Keep in mind, Tulane is singlehandidly responsible for the break up of the Big East. Thats where their program stands.

In the end, we are both Mid Majors looking to move up. Nothing more, nothing less.

And that one good year was a flash in the pan. Their coach got out ASAP and their admin then screwed the process of finding a replacement which resulted in an immediate return to mediocrity at best.

I believe they finished the season ranked #7 which would probably get them into a BCS bowl today. However, they did not beat a single ranked team and the only "AQ" team on their schedule at that time was Rutgers of the Big East.

Z, you hit it right on the nose. I have yet to hear one Cajun fan get on here boasting about how we're now world stage or any nonsense like that. We are generally quite humble to be where we are and with Hud at the helm things are looking good and getting better. It's like they forgot about the 41-13 butt-beating they got from us last year.

I'm hoping we give Toolame another good thrashing!

I suspect that we will have twice as many people in the stands rooting for UL (40,000) as does Tulane. However, it is nice to see that it looks like there will be a big crowd. This should open the eyes of CUSA to the need for an LA team. Ignoring the Tulane bashing, it is just a fact that we need to at least be moving up in league as opposed to shooting for the NO Bowl as the ultimate prize every year.

You singing to the choir brother, now you need to sing to Farmer who thinks the SBC is about right, just like he felt that the softball teams seeding was about right two years ago, and the same Farmer who was comfortable with the pinky promise of the league members sticking together. Yea, that guy, the one who was late with his master plan, late trying to talk seriously to C USA.

That guy who will be getting a lot of questions about the most expensive part of the master plan phase II, who now seems to be indicating it is on some distant horizon.

Do not get fooled, we need to leave the SBC, but not to C USA, instead AAC with a real plan for the Big XII. Anything short of this is fools gold.
