Also funny on YOGWF to read comments from FW and WaveProf giving each other a reach around in their delusional crowd estimates. Their orgasmic self flagellation reaches epic proportions of delusions.
"Crowd was 54,000. If it was 4-1 them, that means about 43-11,000. No freaking way. If it was 3-1, it was 40-14,000. Again, not a chance. 2-1 would be 36,000-18000. That might be more accurate but I think we had more than that too."
Seriously? To estimate 18000 is laughable but to then add that it was even more is ludicrous. Of course this is from a clown in Tennessee with a big soccer logo trying to talk football.
I took an entire lap around the stadium and took tons of crowd pics (posting will come later), I'm estimating these numbers:
Louisiana: 37,000
Tulane: 12,000
Other: 6,000
I think the 11-12K estimate for toolame is probably pretty accurate.
On a related note, one of their kazoo & violin corps members on YOGWF was making excuses for their small size by stating that most of them had gone home because they were home over the break. I guess our band members were held hostage at UL over the break.
Also, he tried to claim our band was just about the music and volume while they were about dancing (not that there's anything wrong with that). Yeah, some dancing. Did anyone else confuse them with Southern or Grambling?![]()
No one on this board is stating that there is a invite to the Big XII in UL's immediate or near future....that could be possible down the road.....the AAC is a possibility in spite of what some think in the rest of the State and specifically what some Tulane fans think but to get there we need more success on the field, our facilities upgrades need to be near completion(which is a few years down the road) and the budget needs to continue to grow. Academically we are nearly there(AAC University level) and we WILL be there very soon. We are actually at the academic level of AAC Conference member the University of Memphis. If CUSA decides to add two Western Division teams we have a very good shot to be selected.
Oh, that was dancing??? Anyway, I don't enjoy watching bands try to dance, and 610 was embarrassing, and Pride of Acadiana was nothing but AWESOME....LOUD AND AWESOME....Loved the CAJUNS and FDL they formed. Yeah, we won the football game AND the battle of bands. It was a great weekend!!!!!!!
