    New Orleans is a restaurant town and everyone who visits on a regular basis has their favorites - here a few that are off the beaten path but well worth trying if you have the time & $:

    it is the top rated steakhouse in New Orleans by Zagat - small place located in the warehouse district featuring Argentine style steaks - awesome!

    A Mano - http://www.amanonola.com/
    Same chef and owner as La Boca - Italian and also located in the warehouse district.

    Bayona -http://www.bayona.com/
    Chef Susan Spicer - fine dining featuring a wide variety of styles and influences. Located in the French Quarter

    Rio Mar - http://www.riomarseafood.com/
    Seafood with a Spanish twist - located in the warehouse district

    Mahoneys - http://mahonyspoboys.com/
    Great po-boys located on Magazine

    Ancora - Pizzeria -http://www.ancorapizza.com/
    they have their own Salumeria and the pizza oven was imported from Italy - located on Ferret

    High Hat Cafe -http://highhatcafe.com/
    Southern cooking - where the Delta meets the Bayou. Also located on Ferret

    These are just a few - you could eat your way through New Orleans pre or post game! Bon Appetit and Geaux Cajuns!

    cafe Giovanni on Decatur right off of Canal. Best Italian in the city and its my favorite. i will not be in N.O. without going

    New orleans food and spirits in bucktown.

    Speaking of Bucktown, we visit 2 Tonys whenever we are in the area.

    We stay at the Dauphine Hotel on Dauphine every trip to N.O....Bayonas is across the street and it is fabulous..

    Dat Dog on Freret uptown http://datdognola.com/ (sausage fest. literally)

    Creole Creamery on Prytania Uptown- http://www.creolecreamery.com/ I never leave town without a stop

    Surrey's Cafe (2 locations on Magazine) http://www.surreyscafeandjuicebar.com/ great breakfast.

    Cochon is great, but there is one in Lafayette now, right?

    Parasol's and/or Parkway Bakery. Po-boys like no other.

    Cafe Satsuma is a great little breakfast spot (http://www.satsumacafe.com/). Got reservations at Revolution (http://www.revolutionnola.com/) for the pre-game night meal. Heard good things about that place.
