I hope the powers that be are not that stupid. Our program has energy to move to the next level of commitment. Kowtowing to a bunch of dip s____s sure doesn't look like it. Want a big boy program, lead like one.

The only way to show our displeasure is full revolt. NO first down and if they do not get it by halftime we grab 3 or 4 case of beer, a couple of bottles of fine bourbon and storm the press box.

Check out the Game Notes for ULM. They state what they want to be called and not called. ULM is their preference. NOT UL Monroe, Louisiana Monroe and a number of other variations. We do the same thing and ask to be called Louisiana and state what not to be called which includes UL Lafayette and ULL. Yet, in ULM's Game Notes, they refer to us as UL Lafayette and ULL. However, in UL's Game Notes, we respect their request and refer to them as ULM. The SBC doesn't respect either school's requests, which makes no sense, and refers to both as UL Monroe and UL Lafayette, and the networks follow their lead. Yet, the Commissioner said he would respect what each school wants to be called, then doesn't do that. You can bet that Benson will be at this game and may have requested UL do something conciliatory towards ULM. Dr. S is playing politics with ULM and Benson. Let's hope this works out in our favor shortly. This just gets more ridiculous by the day.

If Dr.S doesn't grow a sack and stand firm on the use of Louisiana I can guarantee you Benson will see it as acquiescence to Bruno and will continue to disregard our request to be referred to as Louisiana. Benson will not stand up and tell Bruno To Please. In recent correspondence with him Benson regurgitated one lame excuse after another. When I continued to challenge him he said there was nothing he could do and we should take it up with Dr. Savoie. That means he wants T-Joe to make the stand against Bruno before the conference will do anything.

I honestly can't think of anything less important in the whole universe than what name they put on the marquee out at the athletic complex. It has no bearing on anything. Nothing. It doesn't matter.
