I just past Cajun Field as I often do and the marquee at the entrance says Cajuns vs UL Monroe..... Every other week that sign says Louisiana vs __________. Get ready score board will not read Louisiana as usual and will say Cajuns VS Warhawks, PA guy will say thats another Cajun first down instead of the usual Louisiana. Guys here on Ragin Pagin get upset when ESPN networks don't call us La. How can we expect them to do so if our own admin will give into the pressure coming from the norteast.

I talked to the PA announcer before the Troy game and he said if he changes to Cajuns from Louisiana it will be because the powers that be have instructed to do so.

I cannot imagine the move to "Louisiana's Ragin Cajuns" was just a random act. I fully expect Cajun Field and all marquees to say Louisiana on Saturday. Anything less is failure.

Check out the Game Notes for ULM. They state what they want to be called and not called. ULM is their preference. NOT UL Monroe, Louisiana Monroe and a number of other variations. We do the same thing and ask to be called Louisiana and state what not to be called which includes UL Lafayette and ULL. Yet, in ULM's Game Notes, they refer to us as UL Lafayette and ULL. However, in UL's Game Notes, we respect their request and refer to them as ULM. The SBC doesn't respect either school's requests, which makes no sense, and refers to both as UL Monroe and UL Lafayette, and the networks follow their lead. Yet, the Commissioner said he would respect what each school wants to be called, then doesn't do that. You can bet that Benson will be at this game and may have requested UL do something conciliatory towards ULM. Dr. S is playing politics with ULM and Benson. Let's hope this works out in our favor shortly. This just gets more ridiculous by the day.

Until we officially change our name this will never die. Who else is sick of worrying about it. The more we fight it the more ESPN plays with us. It's pathetic.

Us die hards need to instruct everyone we know to over power him with LOUISIANA. As the game wears on he'll just start saying "and that's another" and we'll fill in the rest!

I have no problems with Cajuns on the score board, but if they say "that's another Cajuns" I will not say first down. I hope the stadium goes quite. No one should say first down unless they say "Louisiana"
